A 60-year-old Tampa man is one of the latest winners announced by the Florida Lottery. William Farrell claimed a $1 million prize from the lottery’s $10,000,000 Fortune scratch-off game on April 1, according to the lottery.

87 Animals Taken From New Port Richey Home

Pasco County has seized 87 animals from a home on Teak Street in the Griffin Park area. According to county spokesman Doug Tobin, the animals were removed from the home at 9115 Teak St. Tuesday.

Man Tased By Deputies Dies

A 39-year-old man is dead after a Wednesday morning disturbance at Centerstone, a behavioral health hospital, in Bradenton. According to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the 2020 26th Ave. E. hospital around 12:25 a.m.

A missing Sarasota man's body has been found in a canal within the Deer Prairie Creek Preserve in Venice. According to the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office, the body has been identified as Tommy Trousdale, 66, of Sarasota.
