• Dixie County School District launches Dolly Parton literacy week (wcjb.com) — Dixie County schools in Cross City are gearing up for a Dolly Parton-themed literacy week, running Sept. 21–25 and centered on reading, kindness, and big dreams. Students will receive copies of Parton's "Coat of Many Colors," join daily activities, and pause districtwide at 9:25 a.m. on Sept. 25 for a special read-aloud, with community challenges planned each day.
