Fort Lauderdale opens new $165M police headquarters after years of delays and construction challenges (nbcmiami.com) — Fort Lauderdale has opened a new $165 million police headquarters on Broward Boulevard, giving officers and residents a hurricane-hardened hub for investigations, training, and public services. The three-story facility adds advanced forensic labs, a shooting range, and tech spaces, and will temporarily host city commission meetings and a community center while a new city hall is built.
