• Last Clay County portion of First Coast Expressway to open Monday (firstcoastnews.com) — Drivers in Green Cove Springs will soon have a faster new option, as the final Clay County segment of the First Coast Expressway from U.S. 17 to Leonard C Taylor Parkway opens Monday with tolls starting immediately. Local businesses like The Beauty Bar downtown expect shorter trips for clients from Middleburg and beyond, and the project is a key step toward eventually linking I-95 to I-10 by 2030.
