According to left-leaning Bing’s AI powered Copilot: “sources like Local 10 News and NBC Miami have reported on the situation, but MHProNews seems to have the most comprehensive coverage” of the ongoing concerns at the Li'l Abner Mobile Home Park, in Sweetwater near Miami, FL. Both of the articles summarized and linked below offer the apparently largest collection of mainstream news coverage related to the troubling and at times apparently tragic circumstances involving evictions and legal actions by residents who are fighting to protect their rights.

Copilot provided the following summary of the two reports on MHProNews and MHLivingNews which are linked following those AI generated snapshots. Other information follows in Part II.

Comparison with Other Articles

I found several other articles discussing the situation at Li'l Abner Mobile Home Park(3). Here's a brief comparison:

  1. Local 10 News Article: This article focuses on the residents' emotional and financial struggles as they face eviction. It mentions the class action lawsuit and the residents' efforts to fight the eviction notices(2).
  2. CBS Miami Article: This article provides an overview of the eviction notices and the redevelopment plans. It highlights the residents' protests and the legal challenges they are facing(4).
  3. NBC Miami Article: This article discusses the class action lawsuit and the residents' fight to keep their homes. It also mentions the financial incentives offered to residents who leave the park(5).

Case Pleadings

The two articles you provided both mention the class action lawsuit and the eviction notices. However, not all of the other articles include detailed information about the case pleadings(24). The Local 10 News and CBS Miami articles provide some information about the legal challenges, but they do not include the specific case pleadings(4). ..."

Part II

On a different topic, but still related to affordable manufactured homes, it is expected that tomorrow or Monday that the Manufactured Housing Association for Regulatory Reform (MHARR) will release data on new home production. MHARR maintains the largest known month-by-month publicly available information on new HUD Code manufactured home production plus the top 10 states by shipments.

As a disclosure, while this writer is a believer in HUD Code manufactured homes, having owned and lived in several conventional houses as well as multiple manufactured homes, it is also my expert view that several firms in the manufactured home industry are engaged in predatory and potentially illegal behavior. Sadly, some of that troubling behavior seems to be linked with multiple members of the Manufactured Housing Institute (MHI). In our publication's view, state and federal officials should open an investigation into that organization for possible antitrust, RICO, and other concerns, as has been raised by the legal research of Samuel Strommen while he was at Knudson Law. To learn more see the linked reports.

Sam Strommen's Manufactured Housing Institute remark: MHI is a mouthpiece of the Big 3 - in apparent Restraint of Trade and Should Not Get NOERR protection. Strommen argued that MHI appears to be guilty of "felony" antitrust violations, which implies that some of their members are similarly engaged. Note that not all MHI members should be painted with that brush. https://www.manufacturedhomepr...

The Biden-Harris (D) regime seemed to overlook these concerns for years. It is now up to the incoming Trump-Vance (R) administration to tackle the issues raised in this and the linked reports. To learn more, see the linked reports. Other topics also follow.
