Bus Driver Crashed Into Utility Pole After Falling Asleep At The Wheel: Hernando Sheriff
Power was disrupted in an area of Brooksville after a bus driver fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into a utility pole, HCSO said.

BROOKSVILLE, FL β A Hernando County Transit bus driver crashed into a Brooksville utility pole Saturday morning after falling asleep at the wheel, authorities said.
The crash happened just after 11 a.m. on Howell Avenue near the intersection of Highland Street, the Hernando County Sheriffβs Office wrote in a social media post.
The bus traveled off the road when the driver fell asleep, hitting the utility pole and disrupting power in the surrounding area, deputies said.

Duke Energy crews worked at the scene Saturday afternoon to restore power.
The bus driver suffered minor injuries in the crash. There were no passengers on board, deputies said.
