• Oviedo Mayor "Speechless" Over Decoy Flock Camera (mysanfordherald.com) — Oviedo officials have ordered all Flock license plate cameras, including a controversial decoy unit, removed from city limits following weeks of resident privacy concerns and state transportation restrictions. The move comes after Mayor Megan Sladek said she was "speechless" to learn police set up a fake camera operation without her knowledge, just as council was weighing whether to end the surveillance program.
   

• Mud Hole and Mighty River Recovery Announce Competitive Bass Fishing Tournament (coastalanglermag.com) — An Oviedo-based fishing tackle company is helping launch the Mud Hole St. Johns Showdown, a November 22 bass tournament on Lake Monroe that raises money for St. Johns River restoration. Local anglers must attend a mandatory captains meeting at Mud Hole Custom Tackle in Oviedo on November 21, right after the shop's fall block party, to register and get rules and gear.
