Panama City Beach landmark Jaws Souvenirs shop destroyed by early morning fire (ktvu.com) — A massive fire has destroyed Jaws Souvenirs, the well-known shark-jaw-fronted shop on Thomas Drive in Panama City Beach, with Panama City and other agencies pouring in mutual aid. Florida Agriculture Commissioner extends deadline for hurricane disaster relief grant (wjhg.com) — From Panama City, state agriculture officials are reminding Panhandle farmers that the deadline to apply for more than $600 million in hurricane disaster relief has been extended to January 1. Producers hit by the 2023 and 2024 seasons can seek help for infrastructure, market, citrus, and timber losses, with over 600 already approved for nearly $100 million.

Panama City Car and Motorcycle Show Raises over $1,700 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (wjhg.com) — Local car lovers packed the Dillard's parking lot at Pier Park in Panama City today, raising about $1,735 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at the second annual Dillard's Car and Motorcycle Show. Families checked out everything from 1920s classics to Ferraris, with kids climbing into supercars and visitors voting on their favorite rides as organizers began planning a similar event for next spring.

PCB Sea Turtle Watch hosted presentation on nesting and hatching season (mypanhandle.com) — Volunteers from the Panama City Beach Sea Turtle Watch visited a Walton County senior community to explain how locals can protect nesting and hatching turtles. They shared fossils, shells, and tips like clearing beach gear and filling holes, and described how they rescued and relocated 128 eggs after Tropical Storm Bertha damaged area nests.
