Residents will soon see monthly walk-in wellness and cat clinics, expanded dental care, more vaccine outreach, and a new veterinarian joining the team to increase weekday access to affordable pet care.
   

• Gulf Coast State College's 'Education Encore' returns with new classes (wjhg.com) — Gulf Coast State College in Panama City is gearing up for its fall Education Encore program, a six-week slate of no-stress enrichment classes. Local seniors and residents of all ages can still grab spots in offerings like watercolor, yoga, ballroom dancing, and new courses such as AI Made Simple and Tai Chi for Better Balance.
   

• All three 2026 fatal balcony falls in Panama City Beach ruled suicides (newsherald.com) — Authorities in Panama City Beach have ruled that three deadly balcony falls at local condo resorts this summer were suicides, following investigations by the city and the District 14 Medical Examiner. The deaths occurred in June and early August at Majestic Towers, Splash Beach Resort, and Ocean Villa along Front Beach Road.
