Cat Killed In Tampa-Area House Fire, 5 Other Pets Rescued: Watch
A cat died in a Tampa-area house fire and five other family pets were rescued from the blaze, Hillsborough County firefighters said.

TAMPA, FL — A cat died and five other family pets were rescued from a Wednesday morning house fire in the Carrollwood area, Hillsborough County Fire Rescue wrote in a social media post. (Watch videos from the rescue below.)
Crews responding to the blaze found heavy fire coming from the front of the Lake Stall Lane home. They were able to get the flames under control in less than 15 minutes.
Six animals — three cats and three dogs — were rescued from inside the home, HCFR said. One of the cats died from the fire.

The other five animals were safely brought to a local veterinarian for evaluation.
No firefighters were injured during the incident.

The Fire Investigations Unit is working to determine the cause of the fire.
