• Northern Ridge District names September Eagle Scouts (appenmedia.com) — Alpharetta residents can celebrate several new Eagle Scouts whose projects directly benefited local schools, churches and nonprofits, from improving an Alpharetta High School path to enhancing facilities at Ignite Robotics and Elkins Pointe Middle School. The Northern Ridge District recognized these Scouts after their Sept. 24 board of review at Alpharetta Presbyterian Church, highlighting service that supports education, animal rescue, athletics and community gathering spaces.
   

• Georgia Man Arrested After Allegedly Threatening Hegseth Family and Demanding He Attack Chabad Synagogue (crownheights.info) — An Alpharetta man was arrested by local police and federally charged after allegedly posting an online threat demanding that U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth attack a Chabad synagogue or face harm to his family. Authorities say Jewish security groups and Atlanta-area law enforcement quickly coordinated, issued alerts, and later found no ongoing specific threat, while still urging Jewish institutions to stay vigilant.
