From Ghana to Nordstrom: Meet the fashion brand that's Keeping Us Authentic (KUA)

BuyBlack for Black Business Month - it’s more than just a slogan - it’s a way of life. Black entrepreneurs deserve to be spotlighted and to get their fair shake in the market.

Nordstrom understands this, and will be hosting a #BuyBlack Market Pop-up Store at their Perimeter Mall location in Atlanta from August 26-28th, to support Black-owned businesses.

Amongst those featured will be the handcrafted-in-Ghana fashion accessories brand KUA Designs (Keeping Us Authentic). KUA was founded by a former Coca Cola exec and FIT grad, Ruby Buah, who was born and grew up in Ghana. Celeb fans of the brand include:

Ruby will be presenting a limited collection from Kua, featuring the coveted clutch bags, beaded jewelry, rings, bracelets, and many more.

Nordstrom, in acknowledgment of Black Business Month, as well as throughout the year, is creating experiences to make it easy for customers to shop their values, connect with local communities and spotlight Black-owned and Black-founded brands to foster a more diverse and inclusive shelf. Nordstrom will host #BuyBlack Market Pop-Ups at six Nordstrom stores across the U.S.
