1. 2 Dogs, Man Injured In Police Shooting In Fulton (patch.com) — Residents in South Fulton are learning more about an early-morning police shooting that left a homeowner and two dogs wounded after Fairburn officers brought a woman back to her Bishop Road address. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is reviewing why an officer fired as the dogs charged, and the case will ultimately go to the Atlanta Judicial Circuit District Attorney's Office for review.

Ponce City Market celebrates a rough, resilient 100 years (atlantanewsfirst.com) — Ponce City Market is marking its 100th birthday in Atlanta this weekend, with special celebrations planned for Saturday. The story traces the building's evolution from a 1926 Sears hub on the city's edge to today's bustling mixed-use destination, highlighting how developers preserved historic features while transforming it into one of Atlanta's signature gathering spots.
   

4. More than 5,000 take part in Kaiser Permanente Corporate Run, Walk and Roll (atlantanewsfirst.com) — More than 5,000 people gathered in Atlanta's Summerhill neighborhood for the Kaiser Permanente Corporate Run, Walk, and Roll, billed as the city's largest office party. 5. 2 arrested in connection with park shooting death (wsbtv.com) — Atlanta police have arrested two young suspects in the Sept. 2 shooting death of 49-year-old Evans Tshongwe at South Bend Park, working alongside an FBI violent crime task force. Both men are now in Fulton County Jail facing felony murder, aggravated assault, and weapons charges, bringing a measure of resolution to a high-profile park killing.
