Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton Tied in Georgia
A new 50-state Washington Post poll shows Clinton and Trump tied in a two-way race, and Trump leading Clinton in a four candidate race.

ATLANTA, GA — A new Washington Post-Survey Monkey poll of all 50 states shows Georgia tied between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump in this year's presidential election.
The poll was conducted online from Aug. 9 through Sept. 1 among 2,035 registered Georgia voters.
When only Trump and Clinton are considered, both candidates are tied at 46 percent, with 8 percent undecided. When respondents were presented with Libertarian Gary Johnson and the Green Party's Jill Stein as candidates, Trump leads Clinton 40 percent to 39 percent, with Johnson getting 12 percent and Stein receiving 4 percent.

Both Clinton and Trump won Georgia in their respective primaries earlier this year.

The two candidates are investing campaign resources in Georgia, which Democrats hope to turn into a battleground state in November. Former president Bill Clinton was in Atlanta last month, while Trump's running mate, Mike Pence, made a two-day campaign stop immediately afterward.

An AJC poll released earlier last month showed Clinton leading Trump with 44 percent of the vote, compared to Trump's 40 percent. Johnson cracked double digits with 11 percent, while Stein had 2 percent.
President Barack Obama was also in Atlanta raising money for Clinton right after the Democratic National Convention.
Georgia has consistently voted Republican in recent White House elections.
