President Obama in Atlanta For Disabled Veterans Speech, Hillary Clinton Fundraiser
The president spoke in downtown Atlanta, then attended a Democratic fundraiser for his party's presidential nominee.
ATLANTA, GA — President Barack Obama highlighted his administration's accomplishments in veterans affairs on Monday before the national convention of Disabled American Veterans.
Obama spoke for just under an hour before the group, and then attended a fundraiser for Democratic White House nominee Hillary Clinton.
The fundraiser, reported to cost $33,000 to attend and receive a photo op, was closed to the media.

Obama arrived in Atlanta at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport shortly before 1 pm, and then headed to the downtown Atlanta Hyatt Regency.
The fundraising event was held at the home of Andy Prozes and Laura Heery. Prozes is the former CEO of LexisNexis Group, while Heery is one of Atlanta's best-known architects.

Obama's appearance in Atlanta comes four days after the conclusion of the Democrat National Convention in Philadelphia.
GOP nominee Donald Trump held a fundraiser in Atlanta on June 15 at the home of Charlie Loudermilk, who founded Aaron Rents in 1955 and built the now-publicly traded company into a leader in the rent-to-own furniture industry. Another fundraiser organizer was Bernie Marcus, who along with Arthur Blank co-founded The Home Depot.
While Georgia has consistently voted Republican in recent White House elections, Clinton and Democrats insist the Peach State is in play in 2016.
Obama was in Atlanta in late March, attending a national summit on drug abuse that was also held at the Hyatt Regency.
