Skull in Suitcase Investigation: Woman's Clothing Described
Police are hoping the details will help them identify the victim, whose skeleton was found in a suitcase along Interstate 985.

BUFORD, GA — Police on Friday released a description of the clothing discovered with a human skull and other skeletal remains inside a suitcase alongside Interstate 985 last month.
Police are hoping the details will help them identify the victim, who is believed to have been a mixed-race or Hispanic female who died roughly six months ago.

- A black Miley Cyrus hoodie, size large
- Black, Victoria's Secret pants with the words "LOVE PINK" on one leg, size small
- Pink, 2014 Nike Women's Air Max Cage shoes, size 7
The suitcase containing the remains was discovered July 29 by a construction worker on a job near where Interstate 985 splits from Interstate 85.

"It’s not only vital that we solve the case, but it’s also important that we bring closure to a family who is missing their loved one," Gwinnett County Police Cpl. Michele Pihera said. "By giving a name to the bones, we can begin the process of determining the events in her life that ultimately led to her death."

Based on the remains, investigators believe the woman was roughly 20-30 years old. But they said Friday they are open to tips on a missing person who is outside of that age range.
The details do not mesh with any missing person cases in Gwinnett County, police have previously said.

Crime Stoppers tipsters can receive up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment in the case.
