3 Charged In Brick Mill Road Armed Robbery

One of the incidents include the Nov. 21 robbery of a couple visiting the area known to locals as The Falls.

CANTON, GA -- Three suspects have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery reported on Brick Mill Road near Canton. Channon Hooks and Willie Frank Larry, both 17 and from Canton, and Chelsey Jordan Queen, 19, of Acworth, have all been charged following reports of at least two incidents occurring in the area known to locals as The Falls.

Hooks and Queen are both charged with armed robbery and theft by receiving stolen property, and remain held without bond at the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center. Larry is charged with armed robbery and also remains held without bond.

These three people, the Cherokee Sheriff's Office added, have been also linked to other crimes that have been committed in its jurisdiction as well as the city of Canton. Spokesperson Sgt. Marianne Kelley said the investigation and arrests were made possible due to the "team work and cooperation" between its investigators and their counterparts with the Canton Police Department.

Kelley added that while detectives are still investigating the suspects for other crimes, the armed robbery warrant "is in regards to one of the Brick Mill Road incidents."

One of those incidents involved a woman who told deputies she and her boyfriend were robbed at gunpoint Nov. 21 while visiting The Falls. According to an incident report shared with Patch, the Canton resident and her boyfriend arrived at the location around 10:20 p.m. and were ambushed by two men.

One male subject shattered the rear driver's side window with a gun while the other "demanded all their money and cell phones," according to the incident report. Taken from the vehicle were cell phones, wallets with cash, a purse, debit and gift cards and a driver's license.

The sheriff's office used the opportunity to remind citizens to be aware of their surroundings.

"Just because you think you are off alone somewhere does not mean that other people aren't watching you in what you may think is a private place," the agency said in a Facebook post published Nov. 29.
