WOODSTOCK, GA -- Woodstock police have released the identity of the woman whose body was found last week in the city's central business district.

"However, we continue to investigate the incident as a suicide," she added.

According to Smith's obituary, a funeral service was held June 3 at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw. Her obituary states she was born in Jacksonville, Florida, on Jan. 8, 1986 and was living in Canton the time of her passing.

"Brittany's engaging personality was fun-loving and kind, sensitive and nurturing," the obituary reads. "Her creativity and loyal heart was apparent in all she did. Brittany was an incredible mother and enjoyed doing life with them."

Smith is survived by her three children; her mother, Chrystal Crawford; sisters, Lauren Crawford and Hannah Parker (Adam Parker); and a niece and nephew.
