CANTON, GA — The man accused of <a href="https://patch.com/georgia/canton-ga/canton-man-accused-killing-relative-injuring-himself" target="_blank" rel="noopener">shooting and killing</a> his son-in-law Tuesday at <a href="https://patch.com/georgia/canton-ga/canton-man-killed-butterworth-road-shooting-identified" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Butterworth Road</a> has died, the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office said Thursday. Authorities identified the man as Robert Aycock, 80, of Canton. Authorities said Aycock turned a gun on himself Tuesday after shooting to death Paul Miceli, 55. Aycock died of his self-inflicted injuries Thursday morning, authorities said. Miceli was found dead at the scene in a driveway. Authorities told Patch Wednesday charges were not being filed at that time. Authorities told Patch Thursday a motive in the shooting is still being investigated.
