The man wanted in the July shooting of a patron outside a Canton restaurant has been arrested.

Damon Fleming, 41, turned himself into police and was booked into the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center on Monday, Sept. 14, the Canton Police Department said.
The Marietta resident is charged with two counts of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

He’s since been released on a $55,800 bond from the facility, said Cherokee Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Lt. Jay Baker said.
Officers responded to a person shot call around 12:05 a.m. July 31 at Bodock’s Bar and Grill, which is located at 150 Riverstone Parkway.
Officers found a 38-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his hip area, the agency previously told Patch. Canton police say the shooting occurred outside the eatery following an altercation inside. The victim was transported to WellStar Kennestone Hospital where he was treated and subsequently released.
