Foundation Awards Third Round of Rapid Grants To Schools
Thirty-one schools in the Cherokee County School District received the grants.

The Cherokee County Educational Foundation this month issued its third round of Rapid Grants to Cherokee County School District schools.
The annual Rapid Grants, totaling more than $3,500, were awarded to schools in appreciation of their outstanding participation in the Foundation’s 2015 annual “For the Love of Education” T-shirt campaign to raise community awareness.
Thirty-one district schools received the grants, which can be used at the principals’ discretion for school improvement. Macedonia Elementary School had the highest participation per capita among staff and students.

The Foundation’s mission is to support students and staff of the district by promoting teaching and learning and celebrating achievements. The Foundation seeks funding and resources to enrich district schools in areas not fully funded in the regular school program.
Since its establishment in 2012, the Foundation (CCEF) has awarded more than $45,000 in grants to district students, teachers and schools. All money raised by CCEF is returned to the district and its students, teachers and schools through donations, grant opportunities and other support.
