Hundreds Turn Out For Teacher Recruitment Fair
The Cherokee County School District's personnel department hosted the fair on March 7 at Woodstock High School.
More than 700 applicants came out to learn more about what the Cherokee County School District has to offer at a Teacher Recruitment Fair hosted by the Personnel Department.
The fair was held on March 7 at Woodstock High School.
New and veteran teachers who hope to work in Cherokee County Schools next year were able to meet principals and assistant principals from all district elementary, middle and high schools. The school district‘s personnel department is in the process of determining possible job openings throughout the district for the 2015-16 school year.

Staff are working with schools to determine new teacher allotments based on retirements and student population growth, which currently is forecast at more than 1,200 additional students for 2015-16.

Elementary schools set up tables in the high school cafeteria, while middle and high schools were set up in the adjoining middle school cafeteria at Woodstock MS/HS. New and veteran teacher candidates were able to visit with each school where they are interested in teaching.
