Her husband was later arrested in Forsyth County and now faces multiple aggravated assault and firearm charges, while their two adult children safely fled the house before officers arrived.

The six-mile stand-up paddleboard race drew about 35 competitors and revived a pre-pandemic racing tradition, with organizers already planning to bring the event back in 2027.
