Kelly Poole was sworn into office on Thursday by Cherokee County Probate Court Judge Keith Wood. Poole was appointed last month by the board to the seat, which represents the BridgeMill and Sixes areas.
The seat became vacant when Kyla Cromer was appointed to serve as school board chair. The term expires Dec. 31, 2016.

Poole, who provides bookkeeping and accounting services for a tax attorney, has a BBA in accounting from St. Mary’s University. She and husband Jim have two children.
Poole is a member of the Cherokee County Republican Women’s club, member of the PTA where she’s held several elected officer positions, co-president of the Woodstock High School Track Booster Club and a Georgia PTA Finance Committee member.
