On Wednesday, June 3, Cherokee and Milton firefighters in training got a true-to-life experience when they were called to rescue a half-ton bull that fell into a well in south Fulton County.
The owner said that the 3-year-old bull fell through some rotted wood covering up an old well, the fire department said. Rescuers were able to get the animal to safety by placing straps around its body and pulling him out of the 15-foot well. Experts expect the bull to survive the ordeal.
The firefighters will continue the training on Friday.
