A be-on-the-lookout alert was given to surrounding agencies, and a sergeant with the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office spotted two men on foot who matched the description of the suspects.
Officers with the Canton Police Department arrived and conducted what’s called a ”show-up” line up, which one of the victims were able to positively identify the two men of interest as suspects in the case. Two additional teenagers — a 14-year-old and 15-year-old — were also located, identified, arrested and charged with armed robbery in the case.
Officers and deputies with the sheriff’s office also located BB guns used and cell phones allegedly stolen in the case.
Canton police spokesperson Officer Pacer Cordry said detectives are working to determine if the incident is isolated or related to other armed robberies in the city.
