WOODSTOCK, GA -- An annual teacher recruitment fair held last week in Woodstock drew hundreds of applicants.

The Cherokee County School District's Office of Personnel Management held its annual Teacher Recruitment Fair March 5, an event that attracted more than 500 applicants who are hoping to be among the teaching staff for the 2016-17 school year, the system said.

The event, held at River Ridge High School, allowed principals and assistant principals to meet candidates and review applications as they look at their staffing needs for the next school year.
