Tremors From Earthquake Felt in Metro Atlanta?
Injuries have not been reported in the aftermath of the 1:51 p.m. quake.

A major earthquake hit an area northwest of Richmond, VA, just before 2 p.m. today, according to reports from the U.S. Geological Survey.
"This is major news," said Julian C. Gray, curator at the Tellus Science Museum in Cartersville. "The White House and the Pentagon have been evacuated and there are reports of interruption to infrastructure.
"A magnitude 5.9 is huge and very rare in these intercontinental locations where there are no know major faults, but they do occasionally happen."
