• Commuters register to vote at MARTA stations ahead of Georgia's general election (cbsnews.com) — Commuters at the College Park MARTA station had an easy chance to register to vote on National Voter Registration Day, thanks to volunteers from the Communications Workers of America. With Georgia's general election set for November 3 and the registration deadline on October 3, organizers are urging College Park riders to sign up now so their voices count this fall.
   

• New MARTA CEO "Hunts" for federal support in boosting security measures as part of transit improvement (fultonneighbor.com) — Parking at the College Park MARTA station is rising to $10 per day after 14 hours as part of a systemwide push to fund upgrades and security. New CEO Jonathan Hunt is also seeking federal support to expand patrols and finish installing taller fare gates aimed at curbing safety concerns and fare evasion.
   

• Dream, Sun look to close season strong for different reasons (birminghamnews.net) — Tonight's Atlanta Dream home game against the Connecticut Sun tips off in College Park, giving local fans a chance to see Angel Reese extend her record-setting double-double season.
