Forsyth Animal Control Relocates to New Animal Shelter

The sheriff's office unit will operate out of the newly-opened shelter on County Way.

The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office has announced that its Animal Control Unit is relocating its headquarters to the new Forsyth County Animal Shelter.

The 13,700 sq. ft. facility opened on Aug. 22 and allows the county to operate its own shelter instead of using a contractor, which was the case at the previous animal shelter. The shelter is located at 4065 County Way in Cumming, just off of Ga. 400.

Sgt. Debbie Frampton, who leads the Animal Control Unit, took part in the ribbon cutting at the new shelter, says the Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.
