Forsyth Burglars Posed as Couple Looking for First Home
After casing homes while posing as first-time buyers, Tyler Michaels and Rebecca Weismayer would return later and ransack them.

Forsyth County sheriff’s deputies are looking to reunite homeowners with stolen property that may have been taken by a pair of burglars posing as first-time home buyers.
Deputies arrested Tyler Michaels and Rebecca Weismayer following a burglary at the home of a 76-year-old man. The victim wrote down the burglars’ temporary license plate number which led authorities to the two suspects.
FOX 5 Atlanta reports that the two posed as an engaged couple who were looking to buy their first home. The victim let them in, assuming their ruse was true. Once the two burglars had gotten a good look inside the home, they waited until the homeowner was gone. They then broke in and made off with the items they had previously scouted.
