Fowler Park Rec Center Closes Next Week
Crews will be working on the gymnasium floors for a week.
Fowler Park Recreation Center located in south Forsyth County will be closed for use beginning Monday, March 18 through Sunday, March 24.
The closure is to allow for the center’s gymnasium floors to be refinished, according to a press release from the county.
“While the Fowler Park Recreation Center is closed, the recreation centers at Central Park and Old Atlanta Park will remain open and available for use,” said Director of Parks and Recreation Jerry Kinsey. “We appreciate residents’ patience during this closure.”

Just last month the county closed Old Atlanta Park Recreation Center for about a week for the same reason.
. It was funded by a combination of the Parks, Recreation and Green Space Bond approved by Forsyth County voters in February 2008 and Impact Fees.

Fowler Park Recreation Center is located inside Fowler Park at 4110 Carolene Way. It's scheduled to re-open at 7 a.m. Monday, March 25.
