GDOT: Georgia 400 Traffic Shift Complete, But More Work On The Way
Traffic in both directions at the former Toll Plaza now travels on the three inside (left) lanes.

While the Georgia Department of Transportation has completed its planned traffic shift along Georgia 400 just north of the former Toll Plaza, construction crews will be out this week tying up lose ends in relation to the project.
Contractors for GDOT this weekend shifted the three north and southbound travel lanes of Georgia 400 into their permanent configuration at the location of the former Toll Plaza, which is north of the Lenox Road interchange, the agency said in a press release.
Traffic in both directions now travels on the three inside (left) lanes – the area formerly utilized by vehicles with Cruise Cards.

Final paving and striping work, however, will require overnight lane closures during the coming week. Weather permitting, all closures will take place from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. in areas approaching the new lane configuration.
The work schedule is as follows:

Also this week, crews at Georgia 400’s interchange at Northridge Road will be preparing to switch Northridge traffic next week to a just-construction portion of the new bridge under construction over the Hospitality Highway.
Starting tonight – weather permitting – and continuing between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. for at least the next three nights, paving operations on Northridge and its ramps to and from Georgia 400 will require periodic pacing of traffic by Sandy Springs Police.
Drivers should exercise extreme caution while traveling through the work areas.
