After Winter Sports, South Paulding High Leads Superintendent's Cup

The Superintendent’s Cup is presented each year to the high school that produces the best overall sports program for that school year.

A point system is used to determine points for each sport and is summarized below.

For the sports in which there is a county championship, points will be awarded as follows: 10 points for first, 7 points for second, 5 points for third and 2 points for fourth.

Sports for which there is no county championship will receive points as follows: Highest winning percentage in each sport receives 10 points, 2nd highest winning percentage in each sport receives 7 points, 3rd highest winning percentage in each sport receives 5 points and the 4th highest winning percentage in each sport receives 2 points.

23 Paulding Athletes Ink Scholarships on National Signing Day

A region championship earns a school 25 points while a region runner-up earns 15 points. A state championship earns a school 50 points while a state runner-upearns 25 points.

After the completion of Fall and Winter Sports the standings are as follows:

  • SPHS 101
  • Hiram 93
  • NPHS 41
  • PCHS 26
  • EPHS 16
