Education Grant to Family Intervention Specialists, Inc.
Hiram, GA – August 2012 – The Captain Planet Foundation, an international environmental education foundation for youth based on the successful Captain Planet cartoon, is proud to announce that Family Intervention Specialists, Inc. has recently been awarded an educational grant of $1069.20. Family Intervention Specialists, Inc. will use
these funds toward the Growing Roots of Wellness Tranquility and Sensory Garden.

very selective to whom we award funding. This is one of the few projects from across the country that we chose to fund. We wish the Family Intervention Specialists, Inc. the
great success as they work to implement this important project. It is our hope that our combined efforts will educate, empower, involve and invest today’s youth to cultivate a better tomorrow.”

Project Description
Family Intervention Specialists, Inc. (FIS) will create a tranquility garden and a sensory garden. The gardens will be a useful place for Therapist to work with children as an extension of our existing Expressive Therapy Division. The
gardens will be a place for groups to meet, families to re-connect, and children to learn about natural life and play.
