Army Vet Robert Franklin Garner, 88, Dies
Funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m. from Clark Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Todd Brown officiating.

Robert Franklin Garner, 88 of Rome, passed away Monday, Nov. 4. The son of the late, Robert Lee Garner & the late, Effie Cole Garner, he was born Feb. 27, 1925, in Douglasville. Mr. Garner was a lifelong resident of Paulding County. He served in the U. S. Army, worked for General Motors as a paint inspector and was a member of Yorkville Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Athaleen Rich Garner; sons & daughter-in-law, Mike & Deana Garner of Hiram, GA, and Shane Garner of Atlanta, GA; daughters & son-in-law, Anita & Chris Good of Rome, GA, and Vicki Ann Cobb of Alpharetta, GA; sister, Ruth Postell of Powder Springs, GA; grandchildren, Stacy & Carson Sanders of Sarasota, FL, John & Illy Good of Rome, GA, Mindi Bennett of Helen, GA, and Colin & Jillian Cobb of Alpharetta, GA; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m. from Clark Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Todd Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Yorkville Baptist Church Cemetery.
