Getting it done on the court as well as in the classroom is the exact definition of student-athlete. Senior setter Destiny Bryan is the epitome of student-athlete and is this week's Dallas-Hiram Athlete of the Week. Bryan is a team captain on the volleyball court and is responsible for leading to several victories this season already, according to head coach Shannon Wannemacher. In the season-opening match, Bryan scored 13 consecutive points and has 22 aces at this point in the season. "Her leadership and ability to run an offense have become an integral part of our program," Wannemacher said. Bryan is also in the top 30 of her class and maintains a 3.4 GPA.
