Both Drivers Charged In Paulding Daycare Bus Crash

The bus's driver was cited for failure to yield in the crash, which happened last Friday.

DALLAS, GA — Both drivers involved in a daycare bus crash that sent 11 people, including eight children, to the hospital have been charged in the collision.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, Tracy Moreland, who was driving the Paulding Preparatory Academy bus, was charged with failure to yield.

Harry Martin, the driver of the pickup truck that crashed into the bus, was charged with driving with an expired license.

The crash happened around 7:30 a.m. last Friday at the intersection of Nathan Dean Boulevard and Merchants Drive.

According to Paulding County Fire & Rescue, eight children, between the ages of 6-10, were taken to Paulding Hospital with minor injuries. Two adults were taken to Kennestone Hospital in serious condition and one adult was taken to Cobb Hospital in serious condition.

"It was a very chaotic scene," Paulding County Sheriff's Sergeant Ashley Henson told FOX 5. 'The kids were all pretty upset. They were crying. It was pretty disturbing. They were looking at their bus driver on the side of the road."
