Community Members Speak Out Against School Phaseout Plan
Several members of the P.B. Ritch Elementary community told Paulding School Board members that they did not want to see their school closed in the near future.
Community members who addressed members at a public hearing Tuesday say they did not want to see their school go away.
The school district held the first of its two public hearings on its proposal to phase out . Should officials close the school, its pupils would be redistricted to nearby elementaries, but as of now, students are still set to attend classes at P.B. Ritch at least through the 2011-2012 school year.
