Company Looking for Forklift Operators

The Georgia Department of Labor's Cedartown Career Center will help The Hon Company fill about 30 jobs for forklift operators to work at the company's local facility.

Recruitments will be held from 4-6 p.m. at the career center at 262 North Park Boulevard. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a high school or General Education Diploma, and have at least two years of forklift experience. Workers must be able to do simple mathematics, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing decimals and fractions. They must also be able to read and interpret charts, schedules, production logs and simple drawings.

Work schedules are for the second shift from 2-10 p.m. and the third shift from 9 p.m.-5 a.m. Monday through Friday. The salary is $10.75 an hour.
