Dallas Credit Score: City Ranks Low in National Report

You wouldn’t sit around comparing your credit score with your neighbors, but it’s interesting to see how Dallas ranks among other cities.

The number crunchers at WalletHub have compared the average credit scores in 2,570 U.S. cities. The results put Dallas on the lower end.

The city ranked 1,922, with a credit score of 650.06.

Here’s Georgia’s top 5 on the list:

232. Brookhaven, 717.34

308. Peachtree City, 713.23

430. Suwanee, 706.27

462. Alpharetta, 704.94

474. Evans, 704.36

At the top of the list, The Villages, Fla., with 779.51. And Camden, N.J., was at the bottom with 565.62.

The average credit scores for each city are from September 2015, based on TransUnion data. “City” refers to city proper and excludes surrounding metro areas.
