Dallas Elementary Learns Fire Safety
Representatives of the Paulding County Fire Department Station One visited Dallas Elementary recently and spoke to first grade students about fire safety.

The firemen talked about fire safety and why home smoke detectors are important. They wanted the children to understand what to do if a fire does happen at their home. Escape plans were defined and discussed.
The firemen showed their suits and talked about how it keeps them safe from fires but how hard it is to hear noises or voices. Children should not hide but let the firemen know they are there if a fire is keeping them from escaping.
The visit was concluded with children being given tours of the fire truck and shown the many parts of the vehicle and what each does.
