Dallas Man Charged In Shooting Death Of Friend
Paulding authorities say the man shot his friend in the head.
DALLAS, GA — A Dallas man is accused of shooting and killing a friend following an argument between the two on Sunday, according to the Paulding County Sheriff's Office Monday.
David Ayers May, 47, is charged on suspicion of felony murder and aggravated assault, authorities said. May was arrested Sunday morning and taken to the Paulding County Jail, where he is being held without bond, authorities said.
He is accused of killing Dane Michael Patrick Kellum, 38, authorities said.

Kellum was visiting May with friends in the 100 block of Mill Point Drive, where the two began to argue around 1:15 a.m. Sunday, authorities said.
May is accused of shooting Kellum in the head with a pistol and killing him at the scene, authorities said.

Deputies were called, and they were able to get May to come out of the home and be taken into custody without incident, authorities said.
