Drug Suspects Part of Large Trafficking Operation: Investigators
A large arrest in December in Cobb County followed the October arrest in Dallas of two men involved in the operation, according to the GBI.

DALLAS, GA — More than two-dozen suspects have been arrested in a drug trafficking operation, including two young men arrested in Dallas while they were attempting to distribute drugs in the area.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigations announced the arrests in a statement on Tuesday.
In an October arrested, Antonio Mendoza, 19, and Edgar Alejandro Montoya, 19, were charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, trafficking in heroin, possession of firearm during the commission of a crime and theft by receiving stolen property.

At the time, Paulding County deputies and area drug taskforce agents found approximately 1 kilogram of Methamphetamine, 4.5 grams of Heroin, and a stolen 9mm handgun on the suspect, who were travelling from Cobb County to distribute the drugs.
The two men were involved with the David Maldonado Baza organization, according to the GBI. Baza and 25 associates were then arrested in a large drug arrest operation on Dec. 3, by Cobb County investigators following a 2 year investigation.
