Easter Weekend Weather: Storms, Then Sun in Dallas, Hiram

A strong cold front approaching from the west could bring a stormy start to the Easter Weekend in Dallas and Hiram.

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City said strong to severe storms are expected Friday night into Saturday morning in north Georgia.
The severe weather potential in Paulding is considered moderate (see attached graphic).

The weather service said the storms should clear for a sunny Saturday and Sunday (and a beautiful Easter sunrise).
Here’s a detailed look at the Dallas forecast, according to the weather service:
- Friday night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11pm, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 11pm and 5am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 5am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 50. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
- Saturday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 64. North wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
- Saturday night: Clear, low around 39.
- Sunday: Mostly sunny, high near 66.
- Sunday night: Mostly cloudy, low around 52. Chance of precipitation 60%.
- Monday: Showers likely, possibly a thunderstorm. High near 70. Chance of precipitation 70%.
