Anyone interested in Amateur Radio is invited to attend. This year we will have a
station set up and manned by a licensed operator for any one interested to be able to
get on the air and talk to someone. We also will be using some of the new modes of
communication with a laptop computer and HF radio.
Paulding Amateur Radio Club has over 40 members and meets at the chamber of
commerce building the forth Tuesday of every month. The club has a repeater on 443.700Mhz. We are involved with Skywarn for weather reporting. When there is bad weather in the area the WD4LUQ repeater on 146.895 is linked to the weather service in Peachtree City. Then reports of wind or other weather damage can be reported to the weather service direct. We have a radio net every Tuesday night, except for club meeting nights, on the WD4LUQ 146.895/224.88mhz, and 444.700 repeaters. We have a hamfest at Paulding Meadows Park in September every year. For information please check out the web site www.pauldingarc.com.
There are pictures on the web site of our previous hamfests and field days.
