Wanda Wallace: The 51-year-old of Powder Springs died July 1, 2013. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 6, at 2 p.m. at Bellamy Chapel Hiram with Pastor Jeff Town and Pastor Tim Collett officiating, with cremation to follow.

The family will receive visitors at the Hiram Funeral Home Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Arthur David Racel: June 1, 1937 - July 1, 2013. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Marietta with the Rev. Zeta Lamberson officiating. Interment will be in Cheatham Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.

Patricia Pyron Sherwood: July 15, 1930 - July 3, 2013. A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Marietta, 189 Church St., Marietta, at 11:30 a.m. Friday, July 5. Friends are invited to a visitation and reception following the service.

Thomas Tyrrell: Jan. 30, 1941 - June 29, 2013. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Marietta. Interment will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Donald Benson Williams Sr.: July 6, 1935 - July 3, 2013. Funeral services the Hiram resident will be held Thursday, July 4, at 11 a.m. from the Benson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Meadows officiating. Mr. Williams will be cremated following the service and his remains will be buried at a later date in the Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

Carol Cyganek: The 74-year-old of Hiram passed away peacefully following a courageous battle with lung cancer on June 23, 2013. Our beloved Mutie was born in Chicago and lived in Virginia Beach, VA, Woodbury Heights, NJ, and Mountain Home, AR. She is survived by brother Chuck Keturoskey, son Jim, daughter Pam, daughter-in-law Wendy, and grandson Jimmy. She was preceded in death by mother Katherine, father Charles, husband Jim, and brothers Gene and Philip. Known as Sparkles to her many friends, she loved being a grandma, traveling, Red Hat gatherings, theater, cooking, baking, knitting, pinochle, and bowling. A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday, July 10 at 11:00 am at the Paulding County Senior Center, 54 Industrial Way North, Dallas, GA 30132. Carl Edward Higginbottom: The 56-year-old of Hiram, formerly of Bainbridge, Ga., passed away June 27, 2013, at the home of his parents in Hiram. Carl was born April 14, 1957, in Quincy, Fla. Carl is survived by his parents Foy E. "Bud" Higginbottom and Nell Glover Higginbottom of Hiram, Ga. and formerly of Bainbridge and Lake Seminole, Ga.; brothers Steve Higginbottom and his wife Elise of Powder Springs, Ga., and Grant Higginbottom and his wife Carolina of Tallahassee, Fla.; sister Sandi Martin and her husband Allen of Powder Springs, Ga.; nephew Stephen Deuble of El Paso,Texas, and niece Babs Higginbottom of Cheyenne, Wyoming, children of Steve and Elise; and nephew Matt Martin and niece Molly Martin of Powder Springs, Ga., children of Sandi and Allen.
