Funeral Announcements: Sept. 10

William Lawrence "Bill" Bennett: The 88-year-old Powder Springs resident died Sept. 9, 2012. Local funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bellamy Chapel Hiram, with Dr. Lamar Whitener, Dr. Steven Bennett and Dr. Quinn Evans officiating. Graveside services will be held at Chataignier Baptist Church Cemetery in Louisiana.

The family will receive visitors Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bellamy Funeral Home Hiram.

Billy Inman Bedgood Sr.: May 2, 1933 - Sept. 7, 2012. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Sept. 15, with visitation from 2 to 3 p.m. and service at 3 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home Chapel, Hiram, with Dr. Bill Snow officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made at a charity of your choice or to the Edgewood Building Fund, 2700 Brighton Ave., Anniston, AL 36207.

Oscar Dobbs Jr.: March 11, 1942 - Sept. 7, 2012. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 15, at 11 a.m. from Flat Rock Baptist Church. Mr. Dobbs will lie in state from 10 a.m. till service time, with the Rev. Regynal Eppinger officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Martha A. Holcomb: Nov. 19, 1963 - Sept. 7, 2012. Memorial services will be held Saturday, Sept. 15, at 5 p.m. from Clark Funeral Home, with the Rev. Todd Tibbitts officiating.

Alice Dilbeck Walton: July 11, 1916 - Sept. 7, 2012. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 11, from Wieuca Road Baptist Church at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Jeana Fortenberry officiating. Mrs. Walton will lie in state at the church from 1 p.m. until the service time. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. Chad Walton, Kevin Walton, Graham Walton, Cody Williams, Cory Eubanks and Dan Eubanks will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, Sept. 10, from 6 to 9 p.m.
