Gas Prices Continue to Fall

We may be going into a holiday weekend, but gas prices continue to fall in and surrounding areas.

According to Atlanta Gas Prices, the cheapest gas in currently is found at the Marathon on Dallas-Acworth Highway near Bobo Road, where unleaded regular fuel is priced at $3.11 a gallon. In , the cheapest price for regular unleaded fuel right now is $3.11 a gallon at the on Jimmy Lee Smith Parkway.

In neighboring counties, the lowest-priced regular gas is $3.09 a gallon in , and , and $3.13 a gallon in .

And, in some areas of metro Atlanta, . At Kroger and Murphy USA on Rockbridge Road in , regular unleaded gas is $2.97 a gallon.

According to AAA, the current average prices for regular gas in Georgia is $3.16 a gallon. The national average is $3.36 a gallon, down from $3.38 a gallon on Wednesday. The average gas price is down 11 cents from last week and 27 cents from one month ago.
