Graduation is Dallas-Hiram Patch's Focus Today

Here are a few things to know as your Friday begins.

1. Graduation night could be a bit rainy, but the wet stuff isn’t for certain.

The National Weather Service says we have a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms today, mainly after 2 pm. Otherwise, we’ll see mostly sunny skies with a high temperature near 80. The 30 percent chance of less-than-stellar weather will remain in place through 8 p.m. Tonight’s low will dip to just around the 60-degree mark.

2. Dallas-Hiram Patch is going to be focused on graduations today. Later today, we’ll bring you two video stories that focus on graduations—one on first graduating class, and the other on DARE graduation from Thursday.

In case you’re wondering, high school graduations to be held tonight are at 7 and at 7:30. Saturday’s ceremonies include and at 10 a.m., while commencement begins at 7 p.m. Those venturing to or near these schools around graduation time should be cautious of increased traffic.
